randomtuesday

Greetings all, this is Captain Dumbass and I'll be your pilot today for Random Tuesday Thoughts while Kim is off getting her plumbing taken care of. Sit back and relax, the stewardess will be by soon with the drink tray. Let's get this started with some sweets. Cookie cake.

I know, right?! Like my four year old would say when he gets really excited it's "double awesome."

When I have a morning shift now my bus takes me past this park where a lot of elderly Asian people do tai chi. Last time I went by they were doing a form of tai chi where they work with swords. And you thought old people driving was dangerous? Icon? religion monkey horns I had this written on a post-it for a Random Tuesday idea. Um...? Ya. Sometimes my notes frighten me. Birds on a wire.

Birds on the Wires from Jarbas Agnelli on Vimeo.

There was no photoshopping involved in this film. The creator saw a photo in a newspaper of some birds and noticed they looked like musical notes. After contacting the photographer who took the original pictures he used the birds positions as notes and then added music. Last time we took the kids into the library there was an art workshop being set up in the kids area. As it was before Halloween they had a skeleton for people to practice drawing. I took the boys over because they've never seen one outside of a book before. After pointing out a few things to them my four year old's first question was why the skeleton had a pole up his bum. Loafers.
Wait! I know what "religious monkey horns" means now. I've noticed in the past that after following somebody's blog I'll go back and I'm not on their follow list any more. And no, it's not because a sudden upswing in that person's online popularity because I've checked their list. Anyway, I was wondering if it's because one of my avatars has big red devils horns and it's a religious thing. I'm not sure why that one comes up and other times it's the monkey with the pirate hat. Anyway, to each their own. Let me just state here though, I am not, nor have I ever been a demon. Honest. *waves away smoke* Learn something every day We were over at my in-laws this weekend and my sister-in-law cooked up some Swedish meatballs from Ikea. I wasn't going to have any but I cut up a few for the boys to eat for their lunch. The youngest didn't want any since he'd filled himself up with lemon tarts before hand so I decided to eat his. Then I found the gravy that came along with them. Then I ate the equivalent of ABBA. I'd do it again. Alright, that's enough.

Check out the Un-Mom for more RTT hijinks. Good luck with your hoo-ha, Kim.

Okay Ikea meatballs or cake? Ikea meatballs or cake? I really can't decide so that means I should eat both right?

I see the devil horns sometimes and somtimes the monkey. Either way they are both fitting.

Happy RTT!

that bird video is SUPER cool, but birds kind of freak me out in general. like there are so many of them and they are so loud and the black eyes and such.

you can't eat that many Ikea meatballs without turning sweedish.

My wife always says "birdies on a wire… birdies on a wire" every time she sees birds on wires— too cute.

They may not be blocking you, but rather you may just be overlooked. I have noticed that my avatar for my Google account keeps disappearing and those blogs I follow through Google friends have that blue guy showing.

Swedish Meatballs… what more can I say.

Thanks for the randomness!

How cool with the birds. Not being musical I would have never noticed. Glad someone did.

Will love quoting the Titanic fact...sad really.

Hope Kim is doing well.

That cake is truly double awesome. I don't eat meat, but dh and ds lurve the IKEA meatballs. Last week dh came home from work and said, "Let's go to IKEA for dinner. I'm in the mood for meatballs." I didn't make any comments (though so many came to mind), I just grabbed my coat and purse and ran out the door before he could change his mind. IKEA+me=true love 4ever.

LOVE THE CAKE!

You always please, dumbass! Oh I mean Captain Dumbass...LOL!

Ok, now I want that cake. Not fair. All I have is some stale chips. Rats.

Exactly how much is ABBA? I mean, as much as they could eat? Or as much as they weigh? Or as big as the coolness they emit?

You had never had Swedish meatballs from Ikea before now? My respect in you has just been knocked down a peg.
But upped 2 pegs with the cake pic. You're still ahead.

I love the Ikea meatballs and gravy, yum! It's too bad, I didn't know about Kim sooner, I could have directed her to a great site called Hystersisters.com. For ladies who need their plumbing fixed, it's a great info site.

I also see both devil and monkey... it is all good with me.
So, this weekend's plan already included a trip to a mall where there is a Williams-Sonoma (they also have a Lego store, which is the reason for the trip to the mall) and a possible trip to Ikea. I am seeing cookie cake and meatballs in my future!

The bird video was also double awesome... ;)

LOL on the skeleton crack... ;)

Swedish meatballs from Ikea? Didn't know you could get those from there. I suppose my judgment has been clouded, though, by getting them from my Swedish Grandmother instead. And no, her name's not Ikea. ;)

Those slippers cost a lot of bread, man! LOL!

Very cool cake!!! I want to make it, but I feel like it would lead to false expectations about the quality of the cake, cause NOTHING can compare to an Oreo. Nothing.

It's great that your guest post ends with: Good luck with your hoo-ha, Kim. Ha -that's good stuff.

As a semi-professional musician (long story) I totally dig the birds on the wires! That is very cool. Also neat little factoid about the Titanic. Saw the Titanic display at the Luxor in Vegas last spring - very thought provoking. And kinda sad. Better than the movie.

Nice to find you here...Will have to come back to check Kim out some more, hopefully she is doing well!

You freakin' crack me up. How many times can I say that today?

I don't know Kim, but I guess I do now. I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. Uteruses suck. (And yes, I know the plural is Uteri, but maybe not, I don't know).
